Great dinner! We ordered the ceviche tray, half a dozen oysters and the tamal de elote con camarones, and all were absolutely delicious. Our server Anita was very accommodating and proactive. Also great music. We will definitely recommend to friends and return! More
Just had the BEST dinner at La Fisheria in Houston and I’m still thinking about it. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was warm, modern, and inviting. The space is gorgeous — high ceilings, glowing copper lights over the bar, and that perfect upscale-but-still-fun energy. It feels like a place you could dress up for or just casually enjoy amazing seafood and margaritas. First of all… the drinks. The margarita was perfectly balanced — smooth, fresh, not overly sweet, with that chili rim that hits just right. You can tell they actually care about their cocktails. Happy hour here is dangerous in the best way. Now the food… WOW. The presentation alone deserves applause. The tostada with that vibrant watermelon radish and creamy sauce was fresh, bright, and layered with flavor. And the octopus? Cooked PERFECTLY. Tender, charred just right, beautifully plated with citrus and greens — easily one of the best octopus dishes I’ve had in Houston. Everything tasted thoughtful and elevated without losing that authentic Mexican soul. And we HAVE to talk about our server — Alex. She was phenomenal. Attentive without hovering, knowledgeable about the menu, warm, personable, and genuinely made the experience even better. Service like that makes a huge difference, and she absolutely delivered. If you’re looking for upscale Mexican seafood with incredible flavors, strong cocktails, and top-tier service, La Fisheria is it. Will 100% be back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
